The quality is great! When I received my photobook in the mail, I was impressed with the quality. I was super excited to see it because it took a while to get to me. As promised on their website, Saal Digital makes a high quality layflat book. The colors are true and the images are clean and crisp.
Pros & Cons
Con: You have to download their software. This wasn't too big of a deal for me, but not many people like downloading software to use a product or service. The Saal Design software downloaded fairly quickly and was surprisingly intuitive.
Pro: Their customer service is really good. I received a $70 voucher to review Saal Digital's photo books. The first time I tried to place my order, it didn't go through (my computer's fault, not theirs). When I contacted customer service, they answered promptly. They were helpful, and accommodating. They won me back with their customer service.
Con: It's a little on the expensive side. As a photographer, I know how important quality is. Your photos need to be tack sharp and the colors must look like you want them to. Many times, it requires photographers to pay a little more for those results. The book I received retails for $74.95.
My book is 26 pages, has a glossy cover and matte photo paper. The paper quality and the photo quality are excellent! I recommend purchasing a book from Saal Digital if it's going to be a portfolio or you're going to sell it.
